TBN Nejat TV: Iran, Can it be true?

Dear Beloved,

I have just returned from two weeks of fruitful ministry in Europe. We conducted two Persian conferences, one in Sweden and one in Germany. Iranians and some Afghanis from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Austria, and Germany participated in these conferences. In every meeting Muslims were saved, healed, delivered, and filled with the Holy Spirit. The ministry of the Word among Iranians is like shaking a very ripe fruit tree. The fruits fall into the basket by the thousands without much effort. The reaping is very easy; the real work is containing these fruits. This is a great challenge for us today.

During these conferences, I spent endless hours with Iranians advising and teaching them on all kinds of issues that they face in their new found faith. They are like a dried-up sponges soaking up every word, every prayer, and all the fellowship. What God is doing among the Iranians, through out the world, is truly amazing. During my two weeks trip I heard so many amazing reports of salvations and healings that are taking place through TBN Nejat TV which made me question whether I really understood the magnitude of what God is accomplishing through TBN Nejat TV. To God be all the glory.

Iran at A Cross Road

The upheaval that is currently taking place in Iran as a result of the presidential election has brought much attention, in the media, to the condition of the Iranian people under this regime. Again, much of what we see on TV and the political comments we hear, are not what is truly taking place.

President Ahmadinejad was declared the winner about a half hour after the polls were closed in Iran. In a system where much of the ballots are cast by hand, it is humanly impossible to know the results so quickly. There is no doubt that the election was fixed, the real question is why.

What is the difference between Ahmadinejad and Mousavi?

None.

If Mr. Mousavi was a true moderate, the supreme leader would never allow him to run. This was the case in the last election when many moderate candidates were banned from running. This is where the majority of people lack knowledge on the true face of Islam.

The Iranian system of government is based upon a deceptive system -- Islam. One of the 99 names of Allah in the Qur'an is 'the great deceiver.' In the Qur'an, Sura 3:54 states that Allah is 'khayru almakireena' (The best Deceiver). The root of the word 'Makireen' in Arabic comes from the word 'Makar' which literally means 'Deceiver.' The word 'Makr' means deception. Thus, the translation of the above verse reads:

"And they deceived, and Allah deceived, and Allah is the best deceiver." This is actually the verse President Ahmadinejad quoted when he returned from his last trip to America, meaning that he is a better deceiver than the Americans!

Again the question is, why would the Iranian government declare Ahmadinejad a winner knowing that this would provoke the masses. Could it be that they had to consent to the murmuring of the people against the regime? Here is what a deceiving plan would look like:

  • 1) Declare Ahmadinejad a winner,
  • 2) Allow some peaceful protests to take place that could be seen around the world, which show Iranians are free to protest against their government,
  • 3) Let the supreme leader declare that he has listened to the people's complaint,
  • 4) Let him make some sort of consent such as a new counting and possibly,
  • 5) Admit that mistakes were taken place in tallying the votes, and
  • 6) Declare Mr. Mousavi as the winner, and finally,
  • 7) Continue the business as usual.

We must understand that different branches of the Apple tree carry the same fruit - apples. One branch may look heavy and the other light, but, they are both from the same tree. Mousavi is known as being a moderate candidate, so was Khatami. Nothing changed during the two terms of President Khatami (1997-2005). As the matter of fact, Mr. Mousavi was the last Prime Minister in Iran before constitutional changes were made that removed the position of prime minister. It was during his reign that the Iranian government shut down most of the churches in Iran (1981-1989) and followed-up with horrific persecution and murdering church leaders.

The Iranian regime is playing peek-a-boo with their people - cut them a little slack for a term but keep them under their yoke. They have played this game for the last 30 years. It is amazing how they can continually deceive people.

I may be off in my political analysis of the current situation in Iran; however we must remember one thing: Islam cannot be upgraded! There can be no democracy in Islam. The political pundits rejoice over the peaceful demonstrations in the streets of Iran thinking there may be a ray of hope for change! Not realizing that the only change in Islam is when Islam is defeated all together! A changed Iran is only possible when the entire government falls and a new people with a new mind-set lead the people, a government by the people and for the people.

You are Blessed (Eph 1:3).
