A Covenant is an agreement which brings about a relationship of commitment between two parties. It is sealed by blood and cannot be broken; it is irrevocable.

The entire redemption of Jesus is wrapped up into two covenants: old and new. Jesus became a surety of a better covenant. (Hebrews 7:22; 8:6-13)
